The Power of Breath (Feb 24th)
Let’s take a whole new spin on dog training. I have been noticing more and more about how our emotions and energy affect how our dogs respond to us. Our emotions affect how fast your dog will learn! Wow…fascinating. Most of you may know this already as it is not [...]

Reading Dog Behavior Week 4 (Feb 17th)
This is the last week on the series of “Reading Dog Behavior.” I hope it has been helpful for you. This week I wanted to target other stress signs that your dog may show when he is out of alignment. These stress signs can be a result [...]
Reading Dog Behavior Week 3 (Feb 10th)
This week I am going to focus on calming signals. Calming signals are signs that your dog demonstrates when he starting to get stressed and is wanting to calm himself down. If you see many calming signals then you know that your dog is pretty stressed. Remember that any [...]
Reading Dog Behavior Week 2 (Feb 3)

Reading Dog Behavior (Jan 27th)
Realizing what a learning curve it was for me to become really good at reading behavior, I thought it would be beneficial to write consecutive tips on how to read your dog. Throughout the next few e-mails you will learn what your dog looks like when aroused verses being relaxed.

My family is being forced to move out of our home and therefore we cannot take our cat with us. We have asked all of our friends and relatives and no one is able to take the cat for us. The cat is a 7 year old female. She has been neutered but still has claws.
Do you have any additional sources in trying to find her a home?
Thanks,
Alan Clark
Hello, My 13 daughter was given a 500$ miniature toy poodle from a friend who’s family decided that they didn’t want it. He is almost 7 months old and we have had him for 8 weeks. He is not fitting in with our 10 year old dog. We are in a condo and I care for my 87 year old handicapped mother with alzheimers disease. I tried to sell him on ksl but no real calls. He is really cute. Of course very energetic but amazingly loving. He loves to be held and have his tummy rubbed. I am desperate and will have to give him to a humane society very soon. Can you get him fostered and adopted? Thanks, Karen H. 801-687-7126
This Pit Bull will be euthanized at Salt Lake County Services if not adopted by Saturday. I can’t adopt another animal, but I am hoping your rescue might be able to take one more, or there might be someone out there looking for a ridiculously adorable girl. She seems really sweet and is REALLY cute…I just hate to think she will be killed because she does not have a family.

Thank you so much for letting us know about this adorable dog. I will forward on to our Dog Adoption Manager to see if we have any room right now, we would love to save her!
Thank you,

Me and my husband had to move out of a house into a apartment that does not allow pets. We have a beautiful border Collie/mix. Her name is Lucky. She is very smart. She has been trained to be a inside dog. She does love to play fetch with a fresbee outside and loves to get in the water during the summer. She can Shake, high five, sit, speak, If you say stay she will and you can go out of your house and she will follow. She also loves to get on your lap and snuggle. She is 3 years old and we do not want to get rid of her. She would be a good dog for anyone.
