Dear Friends of Utah Animal Adoption Center:
Because the more than 1,000 cats, dogs, and horses that came through the doors of the Utah Animal Adoption Center this year can’t thank you themselves, we are sending this note of appreciation on their behalf.
The Utah Animal Adoption Center (formerly Wasatch Humane) works closely with local Utah animal shelters in rescuing pets who are scheduled for euthanasia – sometimes minutes beforehand. We have also helped many Utah military men and women who have been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan by taking in their dog or cat when they are forced to leave their beloved pet behind.
Our Center is unique. We are proud of the fact that at our 5,000+ square foot Adoption Center we do not euthanize healthy animals. We also welcome back at any time any pet that was adopted through our Center. Our commitment to each one of these animals is life-long.

Cooper, adopted by Elaine Winn
Back in June, we got a call from the City Shelter in Roosevelt, Utah, who had found approximately 75 Poodles in a small house. These dogs were living in one room under horrific conditions and had been left alone without food or water for almost a week after their person had passed away. We were the first to respond and our staff drove all night in a torrential rain storm and not only rescued 16 of these horribly neglected and starving Poodles but also 2 Border Collie puppies, a Wheaton Terrier with her 7 puppies and a Springer Mix with her 3 puppies – all were on the euthanasia list. Thanks to so many people, all these dogs were adopted and are doing wonderfully in their Forever Homes! Elaine Winn, who adopted Cooper (seen here), wrote us saying, “We want to thank you for bringing us together, we are the best of friends! I love my Poodle and he adores me! Thank you, Thank you!”
Currently, we have 50 dogs, 70 cats, and 19 horses available for adoption. Your contribution at this time will make a big difference in helping us provide the best possible care for the animals.
Please consider making a year-end tax deductible donation today. If you would like to arrange for a monthly donation, please call us at (801)355-PETS (7387), or you can use the DONATE NOW button below. Any amount helps!
Thank you, for love of the animals,
